Congratulations, Gavin Finnell! North Crawford High School is incredibly proud of Gavin Finnell, a junior who has made history as the first student to complete BAPI's (Building Automation Products, Inc.) Youth Apprenticeship Program in the production pathway. Gavin completed an impressive 450 hours of hands-on work experience, learning valuable skills in production, hand soldering, and shipping/receiving. But Gavin’s journey doesn’t end here—he’s now setting his sights on a second Youth Apprenticeship in a more technical and advanced pathway, aiming for 900 hours of work experience! A huge thank you to Josh Emery with BAPI and Jessica Helms with CESA 3 for their partnership and continued support in making opportunities like this possible for our students. Way to go, Gavin—your hard work and dedication are inspiring!

🚜🔧 Hands-On Learning in Engineering & Heavy Machinery! 🔧🚜 Last week, our students had the incredible opportunity to travel to the Engineering Union Training Center in Coloma, WI. They spent the day exploring this 400-acre facility, learning about the program, touring the site, practicing with heavy machinery, and testing their skills on various simulators. For students interested in a career in heavy machinery operation, this was the perfect chance to gain hands-on experience and a real-world look into the industry. 💪🎓 We’re so proud to offer experiences like this to help students discover their passions and explore future career paths!

Thankful for a Generous Community 🍂🦃 As we embrace the spirit of Thanksgiving, I want to extend heartfelt gratitude to the Gays Mills Lions Club for their incredible generosity in paying off school meal debt. With so many families struggling during this season, your kindness has lifted a significant burden and made a true difference in our community. A special thanks to our new friend Amber Parish for her dedication in working with the Lions Club and our community to make this remarkable act of kindness a reality. I also want to take this opportunity to thank our parents, community members, board of education, and our Ag students for their support and contributions. Our Ag students deserve a special shoutout for growing lettuce for our garden bar—your hard work helps us provide fresh, nutritious meals for our kids every day. Together, we are nourishing not only our children but also the bonds that make our community thrive. Thank you all for making this journey so rewarding. Warm wishes this Thanksgiving, Jen Kapinus Director of Food Services

Do you have some extra evergreen branches as you begin decorating for the holidays? The Ag Dept. would love to put them to use as they learn about the tree industry and make holiday wreathes the second week of December!

🎉 Building Futures, Exploring Pathways! 🔍✨ This month, our students had incredible opportunities to learn firsthand about career options as part of our ACP (Academic and Career Planning) goals! 💂‍♂️ We welcomed a member of the U.S. Marines, who shared insights about military careers and the skills they develop. 💡 Students also heard from a representative of Local 14 Electrical Union, who highlighted the benefits of apprenticeship programs, hands-on training, and how these opportunities can lead to rewarding careers in the trades. These sessions were eye-opening and inspiring, giving our students a glimpse into the many pathways available to them after high school. We’re grateful to these professionals for taking the time to invest in our students’ futures! #ACP #CareerExploration #StudentSuccess #PathwaysToTheFuture
