The North Crawford FFA made the trek north to the WI FFA cabin on Jag lake! They spent the first day swimming in the lake, playing cards, and planning out the year! It’s supposed to be a beautiful weekend in the north woods!
The NCSD School Board Meeting, scheduled for Wednesday, July 28th at 7:00 p.m., will be held in the Large Gym. Due to the school's wireless internet not working, there will be no link to join the meeting virtually. If you wish to join the meeting, you will need to be in person. One agenda item the board will discuss and potentially take action on are the health and safety protocols for students to return to school in September, including masking. Reminder to all participants that the current district policy is any adult that is unvaccinated must wear a mask while in the building. Congratulations to the following North Crawford Track and Field athletes on their recognition in the Ridge and Valley Conference. Freshman James Carstens and Senior Kloee Chamberlain were named to the Sportsmanship Team. Junior Faye Brassington, Senior Helen Carstens, and Junior Stephen Munson were all recognized 1st Team All-Conference. Stephen was also recognized as the Field Event Athlete of the Year for the boys. North Crawford parents of prospective drivers. While North Crawford no longer offers a driver's education class, you can still sign up to take the class online through Street Smarts Driving in Viroqua, WI. They offer the permit class online, as well as behind the wheel hours. If your son/daughter is 15 and interested in getting their permit, get signed up for the online class. What a great showing tonight for our NC Track and Field athletes. The following athletes qualified for the WIAA Sectional Meet in Boscobel on Thursday. Our kitchen staff loves trying out new recipes during summer school. Today's lunch was a homemade chicken-bacon-alfredo flatbread pizza on whole-grain flatbread along with roasted asparagus and peaches. The asparagus was freshly cut yesterday from Marshview Farms in Wauzeka, WI. Both students and staff reported that this meal was a huge hit. We are excited to add this to our menu this fall!
