Congratulations to the following North Crawford Track and Field athletes on their recognition in the Ridge and Valley Conference. Freshman James Carstens and Senior Kloee Chamberlain were named to the Sportsmanship Team. Junior Faye Brassington, Senior Helen Carstens, and Junior Stephen Munson were all recognized 1st Team All-Conference. Stephen was also recognized as the Field Event Athlete of the Year for the boys. While North Crawford no longer offers a driver's education class, you can still sign up to take the class online through Street Smarts Driving in Viroqua, WI. They offer the permit class online, as well as behind the wheel hours. If your son/daughter is 15 and interested in getting their permit, get signed up for the online class. What a great showing tonight for our NC Track and Field athletes. The following athletes qualified for the WIAA Sectional Meet in Boscobel on Thursday. Best of luck to these athletes as they try to qualify for the State Meet. Sarah Bransky-1600m; Kloee Chamberlain-300m hurdles; Faye Brassington-100m hurdles, long jump; Helen Carstens-1600m, 3200m; Stephen Munson-long jump, triple jump. Our kitchen staff loves trying out new recipes during summer school. Today's lunch was a homemade chicken-bacon-alfredo flatbread pizza on whole-grain flatbread along with roasted asparagus and peaches. The asparagus was freshly cut yesterday from Marshview Farms in Wauzeka, WI. Both students and staff reported that this meal was a huge hit. We are excited to add this to our menu this fall!

The North Crawford School District was awarded a grant from Delta Dental of Wisconsin to help promote oral health to our students. This will include working with Delta Dental on creating an oral health curriculum for us to use in the coming school years. They were also gracious enough to send us supplies of tooth brushes and toothpaste to send home with our elementary students on the last day of school! Thank you so much to Delta Dental of Wisconsin helping us promote oral health!
