Mrs. Page's fourth graders learned about metaphors today when reading the poem "I Hear America Singing" by Walt Whitman. Students were able to go through the school and listen to the noises that North Crawford sings! They created a poem about the sounds and of course took a hallway selfie. ☺️

Hello North Crawford families. In an effort to keep more kids and staff in school for teaching and learning, the district has implemented a new "Test to Stay" program. This program allows students and staff who are identified as a close contact to take a rapid COVID test each morning, and if they are negative, will be able to stay in school. NC Elementary enjoyed a behavior bash today to celebrate all of the great work students have done so far this year. It was wonderful to have 5th graders help read our shout outs and staff partake in a hungry hippo challenge. We are so thankful for our school family!

At Tuesday night's boys' basketball game, come out to support the Steele family who recently lost their home and belongings in a house fire. Instead of doing a traditional 50/50 raffle, we will be drawing three tickets for fans to come down to the court at halftime to participate in a shootout! Each contestant will have 30 seconds to make a layup, free-throw, three-pointer, and half-court shot with corresponding prizes for each! One ticket will be $1, six tickets for $5, a wingspan of tickets for $20, and a Mr. Zuiker wingspan will be $25. All proceeds will go directly to the Steele family. Second graders in Mrs. Kruizenga’s class are learning about the historical practice of natural fabric dying today during a Native American lesson.
