Every year our North Crawford juniors and seniors have the opportunity to participate in the Youth Apprenticeship Program. The program matches students with local employers to teach students important job skills and functions. The district partners with CESA #3 to provide students these important opportunities. This past school year, North Crawford had 17 students participate in the Youth Apprenticeship program, gaining skills and knowledge in areas ranging from agriculture, manufacturing, automotive mechanics, and healthcare. Many students participating in the YA program are offered permanent employment right out of high school in their area of interest. NCSD is proud to partner with CESA #3 and our local employers to offer these important opportunities for our future graduates to be career ready. #TrojanPride

We are proud to say this past year North Crawford High School was able to offer six Advanced Placement courses for our high school students. Courses included AP Calculus A/B; AP Calculus B/C; AP European History; AP Chemistry; AP Spanish Language and Culture; and AP English Language and Composition. We had a total of 14 students enrolled in one or more of these classes. Not only do AP courses prepare students for post-secondary coursework, they provide a challenging and enriching instructional experience in areas of interest for all students. We are proud to be able to offer these opportunities which many times are only able to be offered in larger high schools. #TrojanPride

Competing in his final high school athletic competition, North Crawford grad Stephen Munson will play in the WFCA 8-Player All-Star Game Friday night. Stephen spent the week at UW-Oshkosh preparing for the game. The game will be held at UW-Oshkosh, with kickoff scheduled for 6:00 p.m. The game can be live streamed at https://www.zaleskisports.com/. It's theme-fitting magic, comedy, and education tolled into one fluid, high-energy live musical performance package guarantees to bring a smile to the faces of young and old alike! Age-appropriate trivia questions, jokes, and a special edition of name that tune will relate to the great outdoors, from Paul Bunyan's creation of the Grand Canyon, to a popular song from the Seven Dwarf's mine camp. Our school nutrition team is at it again with another lunch winner! Today we prepared Sidewinder Potato Pork Nachos with our house-made BBQ Cheese Sauce and locally sourced pork. We are excited to add this to our regular lunch menu!

Recent grad Stephen Munson will play in the WBCA All-Star basketball game this Thursday at 9:00 am at the Just A Game Fieldhouse in Wisconsin Dells. Stephen will be playing with many of the top players in the state. Did you know that approximately 81% of our middle school students, and 85% of our high school students, were involved in 1 or more extra curricular activities this past school year!? North Crawford Middle and High School is proud to offer a variety of academic and athletic activities that are open to all students to participate. We all know the social, emotional, academic and physical benefits for students who participate in activities with their peers. Whether it's playing sports, joining the Student Government, participating in Forensics, getting outdoors with the Outdoor Adventure Club, or gaming with our newly formed eSports club, there's surely something for every student at North Crawford.
