Last week, a group of high school students attended Construction Career Day at UW-Platteville. They learned about construction career fields like heavy equipment operation, plumbing, heating, electrical, ICF, and much more. In addition, they explored safety with fire extinguishers, fall protection harnesses, and grain bin rescue.

Yesterday, the third graders headed outside to do some bird watching as a part of our animal classification unit! We made many observations about the birds we saw: what they looked like, what they were doing, how they sounded, the size of their wings, etc. We have really enjoyed becoming animal researchers!

Part of a senior essay for a college application was recently shared with me. Good luck to this individual on the application process! My experiences at North Crawford have allowed me to cultivate qualities such as integrity, hard work, and the ability to think critically. One of the most impressive parts is how I will have taken 42 different classes before I graduate, including nine college-level courses. This is thanks to the opportunities I have received. Representing the school in 3 state-level events, two in Dorian Honors Choir, and over 15 honors band events, music has played a significant role in my life, and the school does a wonderful job in setting me up with these. These experiences have enriched my understanding of teamwork, discipline, and artistic expression. My journey has been an incredible ride, filled with opportunities for growth, self-discovery, and the development of key skills that are put up by the school. With diverse experiences, a passion for the arts, and an unwavering commitment to academic excellence, I can confidently say North Crawford High School has prepared me for my college.
