Kindergartners recently celebrated their "glowing year" with a Glow Day. Students completed glowing literacy stations in Mrs. Anderson's room and glowing math stations in Mrs. Seiser's room. It was a super fun day celebrating all the bright kindergarten students.

Another exciting day in NYC. We started our day off in Rockefeller Center, traveling up 72 floors to enjoy views of the city. We then enjoyed some time in the famous FAO Schwartz toy store. Next stop was the breathtaking St. Patrick's Cathedral followed by dining, shopping and relaxing in Bryant Park. We then enjoyed the American Museum of Natural History, a few of us were able to take in the show at the planetarium. This evening we all saw the absolutely fantastic show, Wicked, on Broadway!

Day #2 in NYC included a morning stroll through Central Park, a tour of the Lincoln Center for the Performing Arts, a historical walking tour through SOHO, Little Italy, and China Town. The evening was spent on a tour bus that brought us around the city while providing comedy and street performers, and more exploring Times Square.

Last week the 2nd graders traveled to the Norskedalen Nature & Heritage Center in Coon Valley. It was a gorgeous day outside to explore the beautiful grounds in a variety of stations. We enjoyed folk music and games, explored the creek, learned about farm life and their buildings. It was a great day!

Today the 2nd graders repotted the babies of their classroom "pet plants," modeling the story of The World's Best Class Plant by Scanlon & Vernick. It's been fun watching our spiderettes grow and now they can be enjoyed at home in our own custom pots!

Our first Field Day was a huge success! Thank you to the Spirit Committee for planning the event, Mr. Wettstein for preparing our students in PE, Mr. Cota for running the clock, and all the staff for guiding and encouraging all of our students. A special shout out to Mr. Watters and the high school track team for running each event with awesome attitudes and enthusiasm. Most importantly, thank you to our amazing elementary students for showing up, doing their best, and having fun! We saw a lot of pride, Resilience, Integrity, Safety, and Efficacy (RISE). We're excited to continue and improve Field Day each year and to invite the community next year! #TrojanPride

Friday will be the final day to sign your daughter up for Summer Rec Softball. We need to finalize the teams, coaches, schedules, and get uniforms ordered. If you have not already filled out a registration form, please email Coordinator Brandon Munson at bmunson@ncrawford.k12.wi.us to indicate your daughter is playing this summer. We are desperately looking for additional girls in 6th, 7th, and 8th grade to play 14u. We are also still looking for coaches for 8u and 14u. If you, or someone you know, may be interested in coaching, please reach out to Brandon Munson at the email address above.
